News Nation reported that five Indian workers were injured in an industrial blast in the town of Pipara Simara in Nepal’s Bara district on Wednesday morning. Police Inspector Subash Hamal said “Five Indian workers were injured in an explosion that occurred while they were melting metal inside the Jagadamba Steels Factory here in Simara.All the injured persons were working as daily wage labourers at the iron plant. The incident occurred likely due to excessive heat in the run-down furnace.”
All the critically injured workers are undergoing treatment at the Birgunj-based Health care Hospital
According to reports, most of the equipment being used in the plant were never repair and in sorry state. Moreover, due to lack of regular maintenance and repairing system, similar incidents had been occurred frequently.
